Technical Support Specialist

About Kornit Digital, a leading-edge company that develops, manufactures, and markets state-of-the-art printing solutions for the textile, garment & apparel decorating industries.
We are seeking a skilled Remote Service Engineer to join our team in Germany.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide professional 1st-level technical support to customers experiencing issues related to their Kornit Digital printers and application software over the phone using remote tools.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose Hardware and Software faults.
- Accurately report incoming cases.
- Ensure continuous and professional communication in the team and with teams and colleagues from other departments/areas of business at Kornit Digital.
- Active use and constant optimization of all processes and documentation in his/her area of responsibility.
- Prepare and share documentation based on solutions reached for inclusion in the "known error database".
- Reporting and creating technical documentation and statistics.
- Apply upgrades and product modifications as implemented by the product line.
- Participate in support hotline coverage, including support during extended service hours according to a defined schedule.
- Document all activities described here using the systems and tools provided by Kornit for this purpose.
- Ensure proper escalations of cases, follow-ups and updates.
- Promote Kornit's service offerings such as service contracts, training, and maintenance programs among our customers.
Requirements:
- Technical degree or equivalent experience in mechanical, digital, and electronic technology.
- 3 years experience in a technical position servicing electro-mechanical devices.
- Flexibility to travel for on-site service visits up to 20% when needed.
- Knowledge of the digital printing industry such as industrial inkjet technology, RIP/colour management, materials/ink/chemicals, and experience in textile printing is an advantage.
- Knowledge of personal computers, Microsoft Windows operating system, and Microsoft Office Products.
- Analytical thinking skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and time constraints.
- Team player.
- Self-motivating personality.
- Good communication and customer management skills.
- Required language skills: fluent in English and German. Speaking additional languages (French, Spanish, Italian, Polish) is an advantage.
