The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sales Director EMEA to join our team. As a key member of our sales organization, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and expanding our customer base in the EMEA region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a sales team to achieve quarterly sales targets and monitor progress regularly.
  • Analyze market potential and develop strategies to acquire new customers and negotiate contracts.
  • Build strong relationships with key client stakeholders at senior and middle management levels, communicating the value of our technology and processes.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to drive lead generation and participate in industry events.
  • Collaborate with the SVP of Global Sales to define sales targets, corporate strategies, and implement sales plans to increase sales.
  • Work closely with Marketing to drive lead generation programs and participate in events.
  • Manage and implement sales forecasting, planning, and buyer-driven sales and marketing processes to ensure high-quality, accurate, and consistent results.
  • Drive the successful implementation and adoption of sales and marketing automation platforms.
  • Analyze pipeline and lead data, providing regular reports to the sales and marketing teams that provide key business insights.
  • Validate the quality of lead and pipeline data through reporting and analysis, and provide guidance to improve overall data quality.
  • Define quality standards for contacts and accounts in the database, define processes, and data collection strategies.
  • Participate in industry trade fairs and exhibitions, representing ExOne and networking with potential customers.
  • Servicing all needs of existing client accounts, building and maintaining long-term relationships, and developing new business opportunities with existing clients.
  • Act as the customer's main point of contact for ExOne and support internal processes to meet customer requirements.
  • Provide feedback to Marketing and Product Management on profit/loss, opportunities, and market trends.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, opportunities, and customer interactions in the CRM system.
  • Submit required reports, including business reviews, forecasts, and pipelines, in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Collaborate with other sales staff, accounting, order entry, shipping, and other departments to ensure accurate and consistent data maintenance.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures and support the continuous improvement of the quality process.
Requirements
  • 5-10 years of experience in direct sales or sales channel management.
  • 10-15 years of experience in sales management.
  • Proven track record and experience in C-level sales and financial product sales to attract new clients.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with high adaptability and resilience.
  • Confident and adept at using various workplace technologies such as Slack, Zoom, and navigating multiple computer platforms and applications.
  • Ability to work in a team and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and persuasively.
  • Location-independent position (home office).
  • High degree of willingness to travel within the assigned territory (50%).
  • Team player and partner with excellent motivational and recruitment skills.
  • Ideal experience in sales to Universities/Research laboratories and experience in 3D printing/Additive Manufacturing.
  • Strong technical skills for moderating discussions are desirable.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken); other languages such as German are nice to have.
