Agricultural Product Manager

Position Overview:
The role involves comprehensive market analysis and strategic oversight in the agricultural sector, particularly focusing on seed products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Market Analysis: Conducting thorough assessments of the seed market, including competitive assessments and technical evaluations.
- Project Management: Planning and overseeing national breeding initiatives for cereals and legumes, while also managing the acquisition of new breeding farms. This includes negotiating prices and procuring multiplied seeds, alongside enhancing product management strategies.
- Product Innovation: Monitoring and evaluating new breeding materials to inform portfolio development, as well as overseeing and assessing internal field trials.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitating communication and negotiations with breeding companies, serving as a point of contact for variety information, product placements, and breeding regions.
- Sales Support: Assisting the sales team in the effective launch of new varieties and the promotion of existing products.
Candidate Profile:
- Educational Background: A degree in agriculture or a related field, or equivalent agricultural or commercial training.
- Professional Experience: Previous experience in the seed industry and a strong background in plant or agricultural sciences is preferred.
- Personal Attributes: A genuine passion for agriculture and sales, coupled with high self-motivation, adaptability, and a willingness to travel.
- Work Style: A confident demeanor with the ability to work independently, possessing strong negotiation skills and excellent communication abilities.
