EU Surface Transportation Planning Lead

Role Overview: As a key player in our logistics framework, you will collaborate with various internal teams, including Program Management, Operations, Supply Chain, and Forecasting, to enhance our planning methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize your analytical expertise to engage with data and KPIs, conducting thorough research to communicate insights effectively across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Transform complex and ambiguous challenges into streamlined, cost-effective solutions that drive efficiency.
  • Analyze intricate datasets to elucidate KPI performance and pinpoint areas for improvement to meet and exceed targets.
  • Develop necessary analytics through tools such as Excel, Dashboards, and SQL.

Strategic Initiatives:

  • Identify and challenge existing processes in scheduling, planning, and execution by leveraging data and research to tackle broader organizational challenges.
  • Collaborate closely with Technology and Applied Science teams to ensure the development of tools and technological solutions aligns with business needs and facilitates successful implementation.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert, fostering reliable and trustworthy partnerships with internal stakeholders.
  • Lead and manage the execution of innovative, data-driven initiatives within Amazon, utilizing strategic planning to create and implement effective project frameworks.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in utilizing data or qualitative evidence to guide business decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects involving a diverse range of stakeholders, including peers and senior leadership.
  • Proficiency in the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and/or SQL in a professional context.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project management certification such as PRINCE2, APM, PMI, or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies like Six Sigma or Lean.
  • Experience in operational settings or with technical teams.
