Role Overview: As a Transport Planning Manager, you will collaborate with various internal teams, including Program Management, Operations, Supply Chain, and Forecasting, to enhance our planning methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize analytical capabilities to work extensively with data and KPIs, conducting thorough analyses to clarify performance metrics and uncover opportunities for improvement.
- Identify and challenge existing processes in scheduling, planning, and execution, leveraging data and research to tackle broader organizational challenges.
- Engage closely with Technology and Applied Science teams to assist in the development of necessary tools and technological solutions, ensuring alignment with business needs and facilitating successful launches.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert, fostering reliable and trustworthy partnerships with internal stakeholders.
- Lead and manage the execution of innovative, data-driven changes within Amazon, spearheading improvement initiatives and projects with strategic foresight.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in utilizing data or qualitative insights to guide business decisions.
- Proven track record in managing complex projects involving diverse stakeholders, including peers and leadership.
- Proficiency in the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and/or SQL in a professional context.
- Project management certification such as PRINCE2, APM, PMI, or equivalent is preferred.
- Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies, including Six Sigma or Lean.
- Experience in operational settings or collaboration with technical teams.
