Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and implement improvements in scheduling methodologies while driving initiatives aimed at enhancing planning accuracy, automating execution, and simplifying the scheduling framework across Europe and the UK.
- Collaborate with a diverse range of internal stakeholders, including Program Teams, Operations, Supply Chain, Forecasting, and Technology, to refine our planning solutions.
- Utilize analytical skills to work extensively with data and KPIs, conducting thorough research to provide clear communication and influence a broad spectrum of stakeholders.
- Transform complex and ambiguous challenges into cost-effective and streamlined solutions that positively impact Amazon Transportation Services.
Daily Responsibilities: In the capacity of a Transport Manager, you will spearhead the implementation of innovative, data-driven changes within Amazon, leading various improvement projects and initiatives.
Strategic Leadership: Transport Planning Managers hold significant responsibilities, tackling complex challenges with creativity, innovation, and leadership. Beyond process enhancements, you may also contribute to advancing other business areas, such as diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Team Dynamics: The Surface Transportation Scheduling team plays a pivotal role in crafting accurate plans for road transportation across the entire EU and UK Linehaul network. Our mission is to develop scalable solutions that determine the logistics of where, when, and how many trucks are required to deliver billions of packages punctually and cost-effectively.
Basic Qualifications:
- A degree in a relevant field.
- Experience in leading cross-functional programs or projects using project management methodologies.
- Proven ability to leverage data or anecdotal evidence to influence business decisions.
- Experience managing complex projects with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Proficiency in the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and/or SQL in a professional setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced or master's degree.
- Project management certification such as PRINCE2, APM, PMI, or similar.
- Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies like Six Sigma or Lean.
- Experience in operational environments or with technical teams.
