HIRING DIRECTOR OF SALES OPERATIONS FOR GERMANY
We are looking for a motivated and strategic Director of Sales Operations to lead our sales initiatives in Germany. This position offers a chance to manage a skilled sales team dedicated to promoting a distinctive ophthalmic product. You will utilize your leadership capabilities and industry knowledge to stimulate growth in the German market. Your role will involve guiding and motivating our sales personnel, providing them with clear direction, mentorship, and support to enhance performance and cultivate a collaborative and successful environment.
As the Director of Sales Operations, you will be responsible for the formulation and implementation of our business strategy, setting and accomplishing annual sales objectives while nurturing strong relationships with key opinion leaders, payers, and other stakeholders. Your strategic insights will be vital in driving innovation and long-term growth for our organization.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership of the Sales Team (Clinical Account Specialists/Fachreferenten Ophthalmologie) Accountable for the development and execution of a business strategy for Alimera's products in a designated area, including annual sales goals Foster relationships with significant key opinion leaders and other essential market access stakeholders Collaborate closely with cross-functional business partners and peers within the German organization as well as in the EU hub and global headquarters Act as a vital member of the German Leadership TeamDrive Growth in the German Market
Ensure sales targets for Alimera's designated products are met utilizing all relevant sales and market access strategies, adhering to the established budgets. Contribute to fostering a positive, collaborative, proactive, and success-driven culture within Alimera Sciences Germany. Work in close partnership with the Country Manager and relevant roles to oversee and implement rebate agreements with key payers and strategic chains. Ensure Alimera's products are included in specific physician association contracts through effective stakeholder management. Provide strategic contributions to annual and long-term business plans.Lead the German Sales Team
Deliver clear and inspiring leadership to all Clinical Account Specialists and coach the team towards optimal performance through regular field visits and face-to-face meetings. Establish appropriate objectives with all Clinical Account Specialists to achieve the best possible outcomes. Ensure seamless collaboration and communication with cross-functional business partners in the German organization, EU hub, and global headquarters. Maintain personal conduct in accordance with relevant legal and compliance regulations and act as a role model.Enhance the Sales Organization with a Focus on Continuous Improvement
Collaborate effectively with the EU Hub, particularly with the VP of Sales, counterparts in the UK and Portugal, and Data Analyst roles. Ensure effectiveness at the customer interface by coaching on sales force effectiveness topics, such as proper call planning and documentation. Ensure accurate segmentation and targeting for effective account planning and incorporate this into the team’s mindset. Develop and strengthen relationships with key opinion leaders and other significant stakeholders.Manage Sales and Market Access
Oversee the sales budget for Germany. Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of Alimera's products, markets, key competitors, and commercial strategies. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to create relevant market access value propositions and materials. Develop a national pricing and market access strategy for existing and new products in conjunction with the Country Manager. Manage forecasts to prevent out-of-stock situations in close collaboration with the Country Manager, Operations, and Supply Chain. Work with management on sales-related matters, including organization, incentive programs, and implementation of technological platforms. Attend national and international congresses and medical education meetings related to assigned products.Qualifications
Minimum of 10 years of business experience in a healthcare setting. At least 5 years of pharmaceutical sales experience, including two years in a regional sales manager role with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding targets. Certified Pharmareferent according to § 75 AMG. Knowledge of the market access environment in the IVOM market in Germany is preferred. University degree in Business or Life Sciences is advantageous, along with experience in Ophthalmology. Familiarity with sales force effectiveness topics.Skills & Knowledge

Exceptional communication and negotiation skills with a strong customer focus. Self-motivated to identify new opportunities and drive the organization forward. Networking ability across various functions both externally and internally. Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and CRM systems. Knowledge of and adherence to relevant legislation and guidelines for the sales of high-value niche specialist products. Native German speaker; fluent in English with strong communication skills in both languages.
