Your Role

As the Director of Operations & Payment, you will spearhead the expansion of our card and voucher operations, with a particular emphasis on our digital offerings. Your primary responsibilities will include ensuring efficient and dependable processes in both operational and developmental phases, as well as managing our external partnerships.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and cultivate a proficient team (approximately 15 members) in Operations & Payment during a period of growth across two markets.
  • Establish essential KPIs to facilitate effective daily monitoring of process quality and service standards.
  • Oversee our external partners for card processing, card production, personalization, and logistics.
  • Manage our voucher reimbursement processes, including outsourced service providers.
  • Ensure the scaling and sizing of internal and external capacities in alignment with our growth strategy.
  • Position payment operations as a fundamental component of our customer experience, ensuring ease of use for all stakeholders.
  • Enhance operations and payment processes through a lean methodology and advocate for operational excellence in company initiatives.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in financial transaction operations, preferably within a Payment Service Provider, Bank, FinTech, or large retail environment.
  • A strong understanding of financial transactions in Payment and (e)Commerce.
  • Experience in Issuing or Acquiring Processing and familiarity with card payments and schemes.

Additionally, you should have:

  • At least 3 years of experience in team leadership.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • The ability to manage and develop teams through metrics and KPIs.
  • Expertise in Supplier Management, including managing operational SLAs and implementing action plans.
  • Methodical knowledge in process and knowledge management.
  • The capability to build cohesive teams that leverage diverse skills and perspectives to achieve shared objectives.
  • Resilience and resourcefulness, with a knack for discovering innovative working methods.
  • Fluency in both oral and written communication in German and English.
  • Flexibility to work in a hybrid environment.
