ROLE OVERVIEW

The Head of Publisher Partnerships for Spain is responsible for overseeing relationships with publishers, negotiating agreements, and optimizing catalogue performance for our audiobook vendors in Spain and other current and emerging markets.

In this capacity, you will guide regional teams in managing publisher collaborations, negotiating terms, and securing agreements for audiobook vendors across various markets, ensuring the delivery of a premier spoken word catalogue for our audience in these specific regions.

Strong publisher relationships will be developed in close partnership with our global and European content teams. In this role, you will serve as the primary liaison for collaborations between Spain and the LATAM region.

Beyond your responsibilities for the Spanish market, you will also play a vital role in promoting cross-collaboration and leveraging synergies for additional markets, including the LATAM region.

By sharing knowledge, identifying areas for collaboration, and streamlining processes, you will foster a cohesive and unified global strategy, unlocking new opportunities through shared expertise.

  • Oversee a team of Publisher Relations managers and coordinators to ensure excellence in deal terms, informed editorial judgment, and successful negotiations for publishers in Spain
  • Identify and explore new partnership opportunities aligned with strategic objectives and develop unique and ambitious deal structures to achieve those goals and expand Audible's content offerings
  • Maintain and enhance strong and productive strategic and day-to-day relationships with all our publishing partners while collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Act as the team's subject matter expert on intellectual property licensing with publishers
  • Utilize analysis of key business drivers, trends, and performance indicators (customer segmentation, market research, competitive analysis, publisher programs, etc.) to enhance the quality and quantity of our catalogues by continually improving relationships with our publishing partners
  • Prepare written reports and presentation materials for executives that communicate financial analysis, strategic insights, and drive toward recommendations
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the European and LATAM regional teams
  • Collaborate with global cross-functional teams to develop deal strategies, formulate key terms, and conduct thorough analysis for a variety of complex agreements and negotiations with global publishing vendors
  • Communicate deal proposals and outcomes through written reports and presentations
