ROLE OVERVIEW

The Head of Content Partnerships for France and Italy is responsible for managing relationships with publishers, negotiating contracts, and overseeing catalogue performance for our audiobook suppliers in key European markets.

In this position, you will direct regional teams in fostering publisher relationships, negotiating terms, and securing agreements for audiobook vendors across various markets, ensuring we provide a premier spoken word catalogue for our audience in these regions.

These publisher relationships will be developed in close collaboration with our global and European content teams.

You possess extensive negotiation experience and excel at building, influencing, and sustaining relationships with publishing partners by making impactful business decisions, leading a team, and engaging in innovative problem-solving.

  • Leading a team of Publisher Relations managers and coordinators to ensure excellence in deal terms, informed editorial judgment, and successful negotiations for publishers in France, Italy, and future markets
  • Negotiating terms for new distribution and content opportunities
  • Identifying and exploring new partnership avenues aligned with strategic objectives and developing unique and ambitious deal structures to enhance Audible's content offerings
  • Creating comprehensive reports and presentation materials for executives that convey financial analysis, strategic insights, and actionable recommendations
  • Supporting all content investment decisions through data analysis, providing accurate recommendations for content strategy based on performance metrics, cost management, and financial forecasts
  • Designing and implementing processes and systems for the entire EU content acquisition team that facilitate our investment decision-making
  • Maintaining and nurturing strong and productive strategic relationships with all our publishing partners for France, Italy, and future markets while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support global expansion
  • Working with global cross-functional teams to develop deal strategies, formulate key terms, and conduct thorough analysis for a variety of complex agreements and negotiations with global publishing vendors
  • Communicating deal proposals and outcomes through detailed reports and presentations
  • Business travel may be required
