SPRK is a Berlin-based impact startup that aims to eliminate food waste in the supply chain worldwide and reduce the corresponding climate damage.
We believe that there are suitable buyers for the high volume of surplus and perfectly edible food in the supply chain - whether producers, retailers, canteens, or non-profit organizations. SPRK brings them together: As Head of Business Development and Partnerships, you will lead our SPRK Marketplace and the associated team.
Key Responsibilities- Revenue responsibility and scaling in line with budget and strategy goals, as well as defining and implementing corresponding measures to achieve goals in close coordination with the CEO and SPRK Management
- Conceptualization and further development of the digital product in close collaboration with the Product Team
- Strategic responsibility for partnerships - expansion of the SPRK Marketplace with its commercial transaction platform
- Operational overall responsibility for ongoing processes, transactions in daily business (matchmaking between surplus and buyers) and active participation or assumption of responsibility for individual deals
- Building new partnerships as well as expanding existing partners, building up and expanding a professional and profitable key account management
- Good leadership and proactive employee development, steering and role model function
- You have at least 10 years of relevant professional experience and proven successes in the field of business development and partner management, including at least 3 years in a strategic leadership role with employee responsibility
- You are a passionate 'trader' and 'deal hunter' who systematically approaches and wins large accounts, secures deals, and is responsible for transactions
- You have prior knowledge from the food industry, strategic purchasing, or have already worked in a food startup in a leading sales or business development role
- You are a top communicator who wins the team and customers for you and the commercial SPRK activities in your area of responsibility
- You speak and write fluent German and English
