ROLE OVERVIEW
The Head of Publisher Partnerships for Spain is responsible for overseeing relationships with publishers, negotiating agreements, and optimizing catalogue performance for our audiobook vendors in Spain and other established and emerging markets.
In this capacity, you will guide regional teams in managing publisher interactions, negotiating terms, and finalizing agreements for audiobook vendors across various territories, aiming to deliver a premier spoken word catalogue for our audience in the respective regions.
Publisher relationships will be nurtured in close collaboration with our global and European content teams. In this role, you will serve as the primary liaison for partnerships between Spain and the LATAM region.Alongside your responsibilities for the Spanish market, you will play a vital role in promoting cross-collaboration and harnessing synergies for other markets, including the LATAM region.
By sharing knowledge, pinpointing collaboration opportunities, and streamlining processes, you will establish a cohesive and unified global strategy, unlocking new avenues through shared expertise.

- Lead a team of Publisher Relations managers and coordinators to ensure excellence in deal terms, informed editorial judgment, and successful negotiations for publishers in Spain
- Identify and explore new partnership opportunities aligned with strategic objectives and create unique and ambitious deal structures to achieve those goals and expand Audible's content offerings
- Cultivate and enhance strong and productive strategic and daily relations with all our publishing partners while also collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Act as the team's subject matter expert on intellectual property licensing with publishers
- Utilize analysis of key business drivers, trends, and performance indicators (customer segmentation, market research, competitive analysis, publisher programs, etc.) to enhance the quality and quantity of our catalogues by continually improving relationships with our publishing partners
- Prepare written reports and presentation materials for executives that convey financial analysis, strategic insights, and recommendations
- Serve as the primary liaison between the European and LATAM regional teams
- Collaborate with global cross-functional teams to devise deal strategies, formulate key terms, and conduct comprehensive analyses, strategizing and planning for a variety of complex agreements and negotiations with global publishing vendors
- Communicate deal proposals and outcomes through written reports and presentations
