Role Overview

Your Career Path

Serve as the primary business partner for Cortex with Area Vice Presidents (AVPs) alongside the Cortex Vice President for designated regions. You will be fully accountable for overall business performance, go-to-market (GTM) success, deal management, and customer engagement within your area. This pivotal regional position provides leadership within the theater and is integral to the regional management teams, carrying the Cortex quota and ensuring the health of the Cortex business in your designated area(s).

You will collaborate with Product GTM teams to develop and actively promote Cortex sales initiatives and programs tailored for your area(s) in conjunction with AVPs, District Sales Managers (DSMs), and account representatives. Additionally, you will own and cultivate the Cortex identity and community within your area(s) and across the theater.

Your Contributions

  • Customer Engagement and Visibility - Actively participate in significant emerging deals to ensure proper positioning of use cases and delivery of the value proposition. Manage key sales stages in the sales cycle for these opportunities. Engage in external events such as Executive Briefing Center (EBC) customer roundtables and industry gatherings, representing Palo Alto Networks' strategy in Security Operations Center (SOC) transformation.
  • Business Performance Accountability - Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), track participation rates in Cortex pipeline creation/bookings, and analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement in underperforming areas. Collaborate with Cortex VP and Core AVPs to define sales acceleration objectives.
  • Sales Process and Program Enhancement - Assess and refine the sales process to identify improvement areas, streamline workflows, and enhance efficiency. Develop Cortex campaigns and selling initiatives to achieve adoption and growth goals.
  • Community Development and Support - Provide coaching and mentorship to sales leaders, fostering a culture of continuous learning. Support training programs alongside the Sales Enablement Team to equip Account Teams and Specialist Representatives with the skills necessary to meet sales targets.
  • Market Intelligence and Competitive Analysis - Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to influence GTM strategies and positioning.

Qualifications

Your Background

  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets through effective leadership.
  • Experience managing large, complex Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) and SOC deals in the CEUR region.
  • Strong sales management experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with channel and partner sales models.
  • Ability to engage effectively with VP and C-level stakeholders.
  • Proficient in analyzing sales and market data to prepare strategic action plans.
  • Deep understanding of enterprise sales methodologies.
  • Established cross-functional relationships across internal teams and external partners.
