Role Overview

Your Career Path

Serve as the primary business partner for Cortex with Area Vice Presidents (AVPs) alongside the Cortex Vice President for designated regions. You will hold comprehensive responsibility for overall business performance, go-to-market (GTM) success, client engagements, and deal management within the area. This pivotal regional position offers leadership within the theater and is part of the regional management teams, accountable for the Cortex business health.

Collaborate with Product GTM teams to create and vigorously promote Cortex sales initiatives tailored for specific regions, working closely with AVPs, District Sales Managers (DSMs), and account representatives. You will champion the Cortex identity and community within your areas and across the theater.

Your Contributions

Customer Engagement and External Representation - Actively involved in significant nascent deals to ensure proper positioning of use cases and value propositions. Participate in Executive Briefing Center (EBC) customer roundtables, industry events, and other external engagements, representing Palo Alto Networks' strategy in Security Operations Center (SOC) transformation. Engage in monthly Cortex QSRs to enhance understanding of customer utilization of the Cortex platform and XSIAM platform, benefiting account teams and specialist representatives. Business Performance Management - Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), participation rates in Cortex pipeline creation/bookings, and sales metrics. Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement, addressing underperforming districts. Collaborate with Cortex VP and Core AVPs to define sales acceleration objectives. Sales Process and Program Optimization - Assess and refine the sales process to identify improvement areas, streamline workflows, and enhance efficiency. Develop Cortex campaigns and selling initiatives to meet adoption and growth targets. Community Engagement and Development - Provide coaching and mentorship to sales leaders, fostering a culture of continuous learning. Support training programs alongside the Sales Enablement Team to equip account teams with essential skills and knowledge. Market Insights and Competitive Analysis - Stay informed on market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to influence GTM strategies and positioning.

Qualifications

Your Background

Proven track record of achieving sales targets through effective leadership. Experience managing large, complex SIEM/SOC deals in the CEUR region. Strong preference for sales management experience. Familiarity with channel and partner sales models. Ability to engage effectively with VP/C-level stakeholders. Proficient in analyzing sales and market data to prepare strategic action plans. In-depth understanding of enterprise sales methodologies (e.g., MEDDIC) and the ability to coach others. Established cross-functional relationships across internal teams and with clients and partners.
