Technical Support Intern

Are you interested in contributing to a dynamic team within a leading financial services company? We are seeking to expand our Employee Technology Operational Support Team by adding a skilled and enthusiastic intern eager to gain a comprehensive understanding of technical assistance.
This team plays a crucial role in the success of various departments at AMEX by ensuring they have the necessary IT resources and support to perform effectively. They address technical issues, provide assistance with challenges, and supply equipment as required.
Primarily focused on supporting employees, this role is essential in enabling them to serve AMEX's clientele effectively. They simplify the work processes when technical difficulties arise. The nature of their work is engaging due to its variety and its direct influence on personnel. From resolving minor equipment issues to recovering lost data from significant projects, they interact with all facets of the organization at every level.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine checks of all audiovisual and collaboration tools.
- Offer supplementary support to various teams within the Employee Technology sector as needed.
- Assist in delivering first-level support to AMEX employees at designated support locations.
- Manage, configure, and maintain loaner devices.
- Communicate effectively through chat, ticketing systems, and face-to-face interactions.
- Troubleshoot and provide support for our Ethernet networks (LAN/WAN) and VPN connections.
- Assist both on-site and remote employees.
- Process and fulfill requests for access and equipment.
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of technical terminology and troubleshooting techniques.
- Familiarity with Microsoft technologies, including Active Directory for user and computer management.
- A strong commitment to customer service, meticulous attention to detail, and a desire for organization.
- Understanding of conferencing technologies.
- Experience with Service Now is a plus, but not mandatory.
