ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Senior Knowledge Analyst within BCG's Corporate, Commercial, and Investment Banking division, you will be an integral part of a dynamic global team, delivering exceptional value to clients through specialized industry knowledge and established knowledge assets, including products, tools, data, workshops, frameworks, surveys, and domain-specific expertise.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

You will:

  • Contribute to client engagements and proposals by providing relevant analyses and insights, ensuring impactful outcomes for clients.
  • Occasionally travel to client sites to comprehend their needs and develop tailored solutions.
  • Support commercialization initiatives for your sector by collaborating with business leaders, contributing to proposals, client workshops, and marketing materials.
  • Assist in the development of intellectual property and assets, promoting the Corporate, Commercial, and Investment Banking sector through marketing efforts, conferences, and publications.
SECTOR FOCUS

The Corporate, Commercial, and Investment Banking sector engages with leading banking institutions across various regions, emphasizing Business-to-Business banking segments from Middle Market to Multinational Corporates. The scope includes traditional Corporate Banking products such as credit and asset-based lending, transaction banking, trade finance, FX, derivatives, as well as Investment Banking and Capital Markets products like ECM, DCM, sales, and trading.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

You should possess:

  • A solid foundation in statistics, enabling you to understand and apply diverse statistical methodologies.
  • Proficiency in data manipulation, feature engineering, and model evaluation techniques.
  • Extensive knowledge of the banking industry, particularly within the Commercial, Corporate, and Investment Banking sectors.
  • Strong communication skills, allowing you to engage confidently with case/project teams and clients.
  • The ability to work collaboratively in a group setting, often in a virtual environment, and be adept in agile methodologies.
  • A flexible, curious, and innovative mindset, open to new ideas and capable of proposing creative solutions.
  • Skills to navigate complexity and ambiguity effectively.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

You should have:

  • A minimum of 2 years of consulting experience in the banking sector, preferably within the Commercial, Corporate, and Investment Banking domains; candidates with consulting backgrounds are preferred.
  • Alternatively, at least 3 years of industry experience with a strong emphasis on statistical analysis and data science in the banking sector, ideally in Commercial, Corporate, and Investment Banking, with 4-6+ years of industry experience being strongly preferred.
  • Fluency in both German and English.
  • Strong business acumen and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

As a Senior Knowledge Analyst, you will work alongside global topic leaders and colleagues across BCG, leveraging expertise and capabilities to serve both internal and external clients. Our team comprises a diverse array of knowledge professionals, fostering exciting and innovative knowledge careers.

ADDITIONAL CONTEXT

The Knowledge Team (KT) consists of functional and industry experts who utilize deep domain knowledge to provide insights for case teams and clients. KT members are aligned with BCG Practice Areas, contributing to the strategic agenda and developing cutting-edge IP data tools/assets to deliver valuable insights.

Members of the Knowledge Team are involved in casework, co-creating insights with case teams and clients through expert perspectives on industry trends, delivering proprietary data or tools, and conducting complex market research and analysis. KT members also support business development and proposals while organizing and codifying knowledge that enables BCG to deliver exceptional business value for its clients.
