ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Senior Knowledge Analyst at BCG, you will be an integral part of our Corporate, Commercial, and Investment Banking division. You will collaborate within a dynamic global team, providing value to clients through specialized industry knowledge and established knowledge assets, including products, tools, data, workshops, frameworks, and domain-specific insights.

Your contributions will be pivotal in casework and proposals, delivering relevant analyses and insights that enhance the impact of case teams for our clients. This role may involve occasional travel to client sites to gather requirements and design effective solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

You will play a crucial role in supporting commercialization initiatives within your sector, working closely with business leaders to enrich proposals, client workshops, and marketing materials. Furthermore, you will assist in the development of intellectual property and assets, while also engaging in marketing efforts, conferences, and publications relevant to the Corporate, Commercial, and Investment Banking sector.

SECTOR FOCUS

This sector caters to leading banking institutions globally, emphasizing Business-to-Business banking segments from Middle Market to Multinational Corporates. The scope includes traditional Corporate Banking products such as credit and asset-based lending, transaction banking, trade finance, FX, derivatives, as well as Investment Banking and Capital Markets products like ECM, DCM, and sales and trading.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong foundation in statistics, enabling the application of various statistical methodologies.
  • Proficiency in data manipulation, feature engineering, and model evaluation techniques.
  • Extensive knowledge of the banking industry, particularly within the Commercial, Corporate, and Investment Banking sectors.
  • Effective communication skills with case/project teams and clients, exhibiting credibility and confidence.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in diverse teams, often in virtual settings, and adept in agile methodologies.
  • Flexibility and a curious mindset, open to innovation and proposing creative solutions.
  • Competence in navigating complex and ambiguous situations.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • A minimum of 2 years of consulting experience in the banking sector is required, preferably within the Commercial, Corporate, and Investment Banking domains.
  • If lacking consulting experience, at least 3 years of industry experience with a strong emphasis on statistical analysis and data science in the banking sector is necessary, with 4-6 years of industry experience being strongly preferred.
  • Fluency in both German and English is essential.
  • Demonstrated business acumen and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

As a Senior Knowledge Analyst, you will work alongside global topic leaders and colleagues throughout BCG, leveraging expertise and capabilities to benefit both internal and external clients. ADDITIONAL CONTEXT

The Knowledge Team (KT) consists of functional and industry experts who utilize deep domain knowledge to generate insights for case teams and clients. KT members are aligned with BCG Practice Areas, contributing to strategic agendas and developing cutting-edge IP data tools and assets to deliver valuable insights.

Members of the Knowledge Team are engaged in casework, co-creating insights with case teams and clients through expert perspectives on industry trends, delivering proprietary data or tools, and conducting complex market research and analysis. KT members also support business development and proposals, organizing and codifying knowledge that enables BCG to provide exceptional business value to its clients.
