About This Role

As the Strategic Content Partnerships Lead for France and Italy, you will play a pivotal role in shaping Audible's audiobook catalog within these key European markets. You will oversee publisher relationships, negotiations, and performance analysis for our audiobook vendors, ensuring we deliver a compelling and diverse selection of spoken word content to our listeners.

This leadership position demands a strategic mindset, strong negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of the publishing landscape. You will guide regional teams in managing publisher relationships, negotiating favorable deal terms, and driving agreements that align with Audible's growth objectives.

About You

You are a data-driven decision-maker who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Your ability to analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and develop innovative solutions will be instrumental in expanding Audible's reach within France, Italy, and emerging markets.

As the Strategic Content Partnerships Lead - France/Italy, you will:

  • Lead a team of Publisher Relations Managers and Coordinators, fostering a culture of excellence in deal negotiation, editorial curation, and publisher engagement.
  • Negotiate terms for new distribution agreements and content partnerships, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes for both Audible and our publishing partners.
  • Identify and evaluate potential partnership opportunities, developing creative deal structures that align with strategic goals and enhance Audible's content offerings.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for executives, providing insightful financial analysis, strategic recommendations, and data-driven insights to inform decision-making.
  • Support all content investment decisions through rigorous data analysis, cost control measures, and financial projections, ensuring a sustainable and profitable content strategy.
  • Design and implement efficient processes and systems for the EU content acquisition team, streamlining workflows and enhancing operational effectiveness.
  • Cultivate strong and productive relationships with publishing partners in France, Italy, and emerging markets, fostering collaboration and mutual success.
  • Collaborate closely with global cross-functional teams to develop deal strategies, formulate key terms, and execute complex negotiations with international publishing vendors.
  • Communicate deal proposals and outcomes effectively through written reports and presentations, ensuring transparency and alignment across stakeholders.
