Our Gas Department plays a crucial role in the active management and optimization of gas-related activities within the EWE Group. As the global gas markets evolve, we are looking for skilled professionals to enhance our gas portfolio management capabilities.
- Market Analysis: Conduct thorough analyses of product and portfolio sensitivities using market data and various scenarios through quantitative methodologies.
- Strategy Development: Collaborate with portfolio managers to devise effective hedging strategies that incorporate volatility markets and weather derivatives.
- Tool Enhancement: Work closely with portfolio managers to refine tools for evaluating and managing gas portfolios.
- Communication: Maintain ongoing communication with relevant EWE units to coordinate gas-specific initiatives.
- Database Management: Oversee the database infrastructure related to gas portfolio management, ensuring data transparency and process automation.
- A degree in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or a related field (Diploma or Master's) or equivalent qualifications.
- Demonstrated self-motivation, curiosity, and a collaborative spirit.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with a solid grasp of statistical models and methodologies.
- Proficient programming skills (preferably in Python) and familiarity with MS Office applications.
- Experience in the energy or financial sectors, particularly in energy trading or energy markets, is advantageous.
- Fluency in both German and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
