Senior Manager of Global Transfer Pricing Initiatives

Position Overview

The Global Transfer Pricing Strategies division is a vital component of the Center of Excellence Global Tax at Fresenius Medical Care. The Senior Manager of Global Transfer Pricing Strategies plays a crucial role within a worldwide team of Transfer Pricing specialists and reports directly to the Head of Global Transfer Pricing Strategies. Key responsibilities include:

  • Enhancing and refining the existing global Transfer Pricing Guidelines along with the Masterfile and Local File templates.
  • Drafting and preparing legally mandated transfer pricing documentation.
  • Overseeing and monitoring Transfer Prices.
  • Engaging in national and international project initiatives related to Transfer Pricing.
  • Collaborating with various business units to develop and implement Transfer Pricing systems for service provisions and goods deliveries, in close partnership with Controlling.
  • Participating in business reorganizations, cross-border business transfer projects, and new business models and investments.
  • Assisting local tax functions and the Tax Audit & Controversy team during Transfer Pricing audits.
  • Facilitating the initiation of Advance Pricing Agreements (APAs) and participating in Mutual Agreement Procedures (MAPs).
  • Acting as a Business Partner with operational TP Controllers across regions/countries and specific global functions.
  • Proactively tracking national and international legislative changes in the field of transfer pricing.

Candidate Profile

  • Completed studies in business administration or law.
  • A minimum of five years of professional experience in a similar role within an international corporate environment or with an auditing/tax consultancy firm.
  • Certification as a tax advisor in Germany or an equivalent qualification from abroad is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of German and international tax legislation.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to comprehend complex interrelationships and demonstrate solution-oriented working skills.
  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly MS Office.
  • Ability to work independently and in a structured manner, while also being a team player.
  • Project management experience in a multinational context.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English; proficiency in German and other foreign languages is a plus.
