Your Role and Responsibilities
  • Assist in the strategic planning and execution of meetings and events in compliance with MedTech Europe guidelines and Zimmer Biomet’s Corporate Compliance program.
  • Support the organization of events and booth development for congresses.
  • Prepare comprehensive budgets, including preliminary, working, and final meeting budgets.
  • Negotiate contracts with hotels, conference centers, and various vendors.
  • Oversee technology vendor interactions for digital event deployment, ensuring alignment between all stakeholders.
  • Focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences during on-site executions.
  • Ensure that the outcomes of meetings and corporate events align with corporate goals and objectives.
  • Develop event materials and manage logistics, including food and beverage arrangements, schedules, and manifests.
  • Engage effectively with a diverse range of internal and external personnel, including senior management and vendors.
  • Manage post-event responsibilities, including invoice reconciliation and expense analysis.
  • Evaluate the success of events and prepare detailed reports.
  • Collaborate directly with surgeon educators and the marketing team to implement event plans.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Proficiency in commonly used software applications.
  • Ability to implement programs that maximize organizational effectiveness in achieving strategic goals.
  • Familiarity with the Cvent system is preferred.
  • Fluency in English is essential, with advanced skills in French and Dutch strongly preferred.
  • A degree in commercial education or a related field, preferably within the meeting and congress industry.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in event coordination within the meeting and congress planning sector.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, particularly in English.
  • Excellent organizational and motivational abilities.
  • Commitment to customer service and team-oriented management.
  • Proven interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage deadlines effectively.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills.
  • A documented successful track record in an education management role.
