Your Role:
As a Med Ed and Events Specialist, you will be responsible for the planning, execution, and reconciliation of logistics for various events, including virtual, physical, and hybrid formats, as well as sales and marketing meetings and congresses. You will possess a deep understanding of the events landscape and the necessary skills to manage an event from start to finish. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Collaborating in the development of meeting goals and objectives in accordance with MedTech Europe guidelines and Zimmer Biomet's Corporate Compliance program.
  • Assisting in the planning and booth development for congresses.
  • Preparing budgets, including preliminary, working, and final meeting budgets.
  • Negotiating contracts with hotels, conference centers, destination management companies, production companies, transportation providers, and other vendors.
  • Managing technology vendor interactions for digital event deployment, ensuring alignment between customers, sales, marketing, medical education, and vendors.
  • Executing on-site logistics with a focus on enhancing the customer experience.
  • Ensuring that the outcomes of meetings and corporate events align with corporate goals and objectives.
  • Developing event materials and managing food and beverage services, schedules, manifests, and other logistical requirements.
  • Interfacing effectively with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, distributors, sales associates, customers, and vendors.
  • Overseeing post-event activities, including invoice reconciliation and expense analysis.
  • Analyzing event success and preparing comprehensive reports.
  • Collaborating directly with surgeon educators, delegates, and the EMEA and local marketing teams to execute plans.
Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in commonly used software applications.
  • Ability to implement programs that maximize organizational effectiveness in achieving strategic goals.
  • Familiarity with the Cvent system is preferred.
Language Requirements:
Fluency in English is essential, with advanced proficiency in French and Dutch strongly preferred.

Educational Background:
A degree in commercial education or a commercial apprenticeship, preferably within the meeting and congress industry or a related field, or equivalent non-US certification.

Professional Experience:
A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in coordinating meetings and congress planning. A combination of education and experience will be considered.
