Job Summary

The Business Development Specialist will support the sales efforts, processes, and growth of various distribution partners and sales channels within the assigned territory. This person will establish regular communications with sales channels and manage the business within the region to attain consistency and positive results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a local strategy for sustainable revenue growth amongst sales channels in the region, in coordination with the Director of Sales.
  • Support distributors' daily business and yearly revenue growth, including identification and development of new customers, sales calls, product presentations, and training of distributor staff.
  • Manage activities and grow overall business in the assigned region, including performance analysis and reviews of assigned distributors, sales lead distribution and follow-up, and maintenance of accurate records.
  • Engage with and support Festo sales personnel as a Fabco Product Expert.
  • Assist the National Sales Manager with the development and coordination of marketing activities.
  • Manage call schedules to cover the assigned territory in a time-efficient manner.
  • Maintain minimum personal vehicle standards outlined by Fabco.
  • Adhere to deadlines and schedule constraints.

Requirements

  • BS/BA degree preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and other Microsoft Office products.
  • Proficiency with virtual meeting platforms such as Skype, Zoom, GoToMeeting, etc.
  • 2+ years of related industrial pneumatic and/or distributor sales experience.
  • OEM/MRO sales experience desirable.
  • Mechanical aptitude a plus.

Work Environment

The Business Development Specialist will work remotely, interfacing with Fabco, customer, and distributors via phone and web conferencing tools. Approximately 60% of travel is required for this position, which includes overnight stays and up to one week consecutively. The dress code and conduct should coincide with the work environment and ultimately reflect a professional appearance.

Physical Demands

The Business Development Specialist must be able to meet the physical demands outlined below to perform the job successfully. This includes driving, sitting, standing, and walking for long periods of time, lifting of demos, sample cases, supplies, and materials, as well as carrying, pushing, and pulling. The position requires the ability to lift 70 pounds at times and normally be able to lift 25-30 pounds.
