Product Development Manager Electric Actuators

In this role, you will be responsible for leading the development of Electric Actuators within our Electric Automation Business Unit.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate the development teams in the Electric Actuators product line at our Esslingen site and at our international locations.
  • Ensure the technical development of the Electric Actuators product portfolio, including axes, cylinders, grippers, and mechatronic systems, throughout the entire product life cycle.
  • Drive the further development of our innovative product portfolio at our global development sites.
  • Develop and implement strategies to expand and enhance the necessary resources and skills within the global development footprint.
  • Promote innovative strength and ensure innovative product design through the targeted use of new technologies and agile methods.
  • Support team leaders in the technical feasibility of new concepts and drive forward technology developments.

Your Qualifications:

  • Completed technical studies, e.g., in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, automation, or a comparable degree.
  • Several years of experience in executive management and product development of mechanical products for industrial applications, ideally in an international group.
  • Experience in the development of mechatronic products, including electronics, software, and system engineering, as well as in agile development methods.
  • Business fluent in written and spoken German and English.
  • Strong methodological and coaching skills for the systematic and structured development of concepts and their implementation in series products.
  • Ability to deal with conflict, assertiveness, and strong decision-making skills.
  • Passion for technical innovations.
  • Empathy combined with the ability to inspire employees and empower teams.
  • Willingness to travel (approx. 20%) and intercultural competence.
