Head of Electric Motor Development Specialist

As Head of Electric Motor Development Specialist, you will be responsible for the development of electric motors within our Electric Automation Business Unit. You will lead a team of 10 people at our headquarters in Esslingen, and also oversee development team members at our foreign locations.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development team for electric motors and cables (low voltage and safety extra-low voltage) at our headquarters
  • Oversee the development teams at our foreign locations
  • Develop and implement a global development strategy to increase efficiency in motor development
  • Monitor development projects, including time planning, resource management, and budget control
  • Evaluate and optimize existing engine concepts and new technical solutions
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and legal regulations in engine development and product maintenance
  • Coordinate technical product maintenance for existing series products

Your Qualifications:

  • Degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field
  • Several years of experience in leading teams and developing electric motors
  • Sound knowledge of motor development, calculation, and design, as well as performance optimization and material selection
  • Experience in functional safety
  • Excellent knowledge of German and English
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills
  • High level of analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, as well as strong communication and presentation skills

Part of the selection process is an assessment centre.
