Job Summary
Supermicro is seeking an experienced Business Development Director to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and developing our customers' portfolio, driving growth initiatives, and leading a team of professionals to achieve business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust growth plans to meet/exceed new business targets and customer retention objectives.
- Build and maintain key customer relationships, developing and implementing strategies to expand our customer base and support sales teams.
- Lead a team of professionals to drive growth initiatives, performance, and services excellence expectations.
- Analyze team performance to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure accountabilities are met.
- Establish goals and objectives with team members, ensuring comprehensive knowledge of sales activities, forecast opportunities, and available pipeline.
- Ensure team staff provide excellent support to customers in fulfillment, including forecast, inventory control, allocations, ETA, and backlog management.
- Visit and manage relationships with customers, identifying opportunities and improving sales and marketing strategies for Supermicro products.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree; Master's degree in Business or Management-related field is a plus.
- Minimum 15 years of sales experience in the computer, server, or hardware industry is preferred.
- Experience working with C-level executives in large Fortune companies and VARs/SIs.
- Deep knowledge of server, storage, and management solutions, as well as Cloud data centers and the enterprise IT environment.
- Great leadership and strong ability to work with and manage people from different groups.
- Strong communication skills across multiple disciplines, cultures, and geographies.
- Great analytic skills in market and industry research, constant drive to grow, and passion to learn.
