**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Business Development Director to join our dynamic renewable energy company, Spencer Ogden. As a Senior Business Development Director, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining strong relationships with our key clients in the renewable energy sector.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Develop and Execute Strategic Account Plans: Develop and execute strategic account plans to achieve sales targets and maximize revenue from key accounts in the renewable energy sector.
  • Build and Maintain Strong Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within client organizations.
  • Identify New Business Opportunities: Identify new business opportunities within existing accounts and drive cross-selling and up-selling activities.
  • Collaborate with Internal Teams: Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, engineering, project management, and operations, to ensure seamless delivery of projects and exceptional customer service.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Trends: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to identify potential risks and opportunities.
  • Conduct Regular Business Reviews: Conduct regular business reviews with key clients to assess customer satisfaction, address concerns, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and Present Sales Proposals: Prepare and present sales proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals in collaboration with the sales team.
  • Monitor and Analyze Key Account Metrics: Monitor and analyze key account metrics, such as sales performance, customer satisfaction, and profitability, and take appropriate actions to achieve targets.
  • Represent the Company: Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, addressing their inquiries, resolving issues, and providing timely support.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Team: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop customized marketing materials and campaigns for key accounts.
  • Represent the Company at Industry Events: Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote our renewable energy solutions and expand the network of potential clients.

**Qualifications and Expertise**

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, or a Related Field: Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
  2. Proven Experience in Renewable Energy: Proven experience (10+ years) as a Key Account Manager or in a similar sales role within the renewable energy industry.
  3. In-Depth Knowledge of Renewable Energy: In-depth knowledge of the renewable energy sector, including solar, wind, and other emerging technologies.
  4. Demonstrated Track Record of Achieving Sales Targets: Demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
  5. Strong Negotiation, Presentation, and Communication Skills: Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
  6. Excellent Relationship-Building and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
  7. Ability to Understand Technical Aspects of Renewable Energy Solutions: Ability to understand technical aspects of renewable energy solutions and effectively communicate them to clients.

  10. Willingness to Travel: Willingness to travel as required to meet with clients and attend industry events.
