We are seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to join our growing team at our headquarters in Berlin. The ideal candidate will have expertise in digitalization, private sector development, and climate change, as well as excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills. The role will involve developing and executing strategic business plans, managing partnerships and relationships, and driving business growth through new opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement partnership strategies to cultivate strong relationships with key clients, partners, and industry stakeholders.
- Lead the development and execution of strategic business plans to identify new business opportunities and expand market presence.
- Manage stakeholder relations effectively to ensure alignment with the company's strategic objectives and business practices.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, developments, and best practices to inform strategic decisions and maintain competitive advantage.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Business Administration, International Relations, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in business development within the international development sector, with a focus on identifying new business opportunities with EU-based donors.
- Expertise in different aspects of the offer preparation process, including strategic tender screening, consortium building, budget negotiations, and proposal methodology drafting.
- Excellent command of English and/or French, with bilingualism being a strong advantage.
- Proven ability to manage and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, conduct expert and consortium partner searches, and identify clients to drive business growth.
