Lead Engineering Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Engineer (M/F/T) to join our Order Engineering division. This role is crucial for our ATO/MTO team, focusing on the technical processing of dry-running vacuum pumps and systems, including ETO (Engineered to Order) projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with relevant directives and standards, such as the Machinery Directive and ATEX Directive, tailored for international markets.
  • Conduct structured risk assessments and hazard analyses for customer inquiries or internal issues, documenting corrective measures using standard quality methodologies (e.g., FMEA, 5-why, Ishikawa).
  • Provide sales support to achieve a Clear Order status by evaluating customer specifications and determining the scope of technical proposals.
  • Develop, modify, and maintain EIA documentation related to system maintenance, including P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and control narratives.
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer and coordinate EIA topics within the OE network, ensuring seamless order execution across departments.
  • Manage or collaborate on engineering projects and initiatives across various locations.
  • Coordinate interdepartmental interfaces and independently create process descriptions and work instructions to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Support project start-ups in collaboration with other departments, adhering to best practices and compliance with national and international standards.

Candidate Profile:

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation and Automation Engineering, Communications Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
  • Several years of experience in the EIA sector within the process industry, including petrochemical or pharmaceutical fields.
  • Strong proficiency in E-Plan and comprehensive knowledge of automation technology, programming, and instrumentation.
  • Experience in conducting hazard analyses and designing PFMEAs.
  • A keen interest in Industry 4.0 trends and digitalization.
  • Familiarity with maintenance strategies and project management tools is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in both German and English.
  • A proactive, independent, and goal-oriented work ethic.
  • Strong analytical and abstract thinking skills.
  • Knowledge of SAP-R3, CAD-EPlan, and project management software.
  • Additional experience in 3D CAD and FEM is a plus.
