Lead Engineering Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Engineer (M/F/T) to join our Order Engineering department. This role is pivotal in managing the technical order processing of dry-running vacuum pumps and systems, including those with an ETO (Engineered to Order) focus. Additionally, the position will involve overseeing optimization projects related to maintenance within the OE department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with relevant directives and standards, such as the Machinery Directive and ATEX Directive, particularly for the Asian and North American markets.
- Conduct structured risk and hazard analyses for customer claims or internal objections, documenting corrective actions using established quality tools (e.g., FMEA, 5-why, Ishikawa).
- Provide sales support to achieve a Clear Order status by reviewing customer specifications and determining the scope of technical offers.
- Develop, modify, and maintain EIA documentation, focusing on product maintenance for systems (e.g., P&IDs, wiring diagrams, flow charts).
- Facilitate knowledge transfer and coordination of EIA topics within the OE network, ensuring smooth order execution across various departments.
- Manage or collaborate on engineering projects and initiatives across multiple sites.
- Coordinate interdepartmental interfaces and independently create process descriptions and work instructions to enhance work processes in the OE.
- Support start-ups in collaboration with other departments, adhering to Flowserve best practices and relevant standards.
Candidate Profile:
- A degree in electrical engineering, instrumentation and automation engineering, communications engineering, physics, or a related field is essential.
- Significant professional experience in the EIA sector of the process industry (e.g., petrochemical, pharmaceutical) is required.
- Strong proficiency in E-Plan and comprehensive knowledge in automation technology, programming, and drive technology.
- Experience in conducting hazard analyses and designing PFMEAs is beneficial.
- A keen interest in Industry 4.0 trends and digitalization is advantageous.
- Familiarity with maintenance strategies and project management tools is a plus.
- Proficiency in both German and English is required.
- A proactive, independent, and goal-oriented approach to work is essential.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are necessary.
- Knowledge of SAP-R3, CAD-EPlan, and project management software is preferred.
- Additional experience in 3D CAD (SolidWorks/Winchill) and FEM is advantageous.
