We are seeking a dedicated Senior Engineer (M/F/T) to join our Order Engineering department. This role is essential for our ATO/MTO team and will be based in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with relevant directives and standards, such as the Machinery Directive and ATEX Directive, tailored for various international markets.
  • Conduct thorough risk and hazard assessments for customer inquiries or internal challenges, documenting corrective measures utilizing established quality methodologies (e.g., FMEA, 5-why analysis, Ishikawa diagrams).
  • Provide technical sales support to secure Clear Order status by analyzing customer requirements and selecting suitable EIA components.
  • Develop, modify, and maintain EIA documentation, focusing on product maintenance for systems, including P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and control narratives.
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer and coordinate EIA-related activities across the OE network, ensuring seamless collaboration among product development, technical support, sales, and production.
  • Manage or collaborate on engineering projects and initiatives across multiple locations.
  • Coordinate interdepartmental interfaces and independently create process descriptions and work instructions to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Support project start-ups in collaboration with various departments, adhering to best practices and international standards.

Candidate Profile:

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation and Automation Engineering, Communications Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in the EIA sector within the process industry, including petrochemical and pharmaceutical environments.
  • Strong proficiency in E-Plan and comprehensive knowledge of automation technology, programming, and instrumentation.
  • Experience in conducting hazard analyses and designing PFMEAs.
  • Interest in Industry 4.0 trends and digital transformation.
  • Familiarity with maintenance strategies and project management tools is a plus.
  • Fluency in both German and English.
  • Self-motivated with a goal-oriented approach and strong analytical skills.
  • Experience with SAP-R3, CAD (E-Plan), and project management software.
  • Additional skills in 3D CAD (SolidWorks/Winchill) and FEM are advantageous.
