Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Excellence Director to join our European Headquarter in Munich, Germany. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving commercial excellence across Europe, leading pan-European projects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Commercial Excellence Strategy
    • Develop and implement a robust European system for monitoring and analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) related to field activities with customers.
    • Run sales force and channel effectiveness analysis, continuously evaluating go-to-market strategies and business models to suggest how to maximize commercial execution and competitiveness.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Foster strong collaboration with various departments (Commercial Operations, Medical, Digital, Market Access) and affiliates, strengthening the European commercial excellence community.
    • Produce guidance to supporting functions (e.g., IT, Customer Engagement Solutions) on business needs.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making
    • Correlate activities data with sales metrics and other performance indicators to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
    • Bridge omnichannel campaigns and content utilization with customer engagement results and sales performance, providing input to stakeholders.
  • Project Leadership
    • Independently lead high-profile projects, ensuring timely delivery and effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Master's degree in business management, economics, or a related field; alternatively, an adequate qualification with relevant experience might be considered.
    • 8+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with a solid understanding of principles relating to commercial excellence in the European region.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Strong experience in commercial excellence, sales force, and channel effectiveness.
    • Excellent analytical and data interpretation skills, with familiarity in data visualization solutions and tools (PowerBI preferred).
    • Demonstrated ability to steer projects in a cross-functional environment, ideally across geographies.
    • Strong interpersonal abilities, ability to influence a broad range of internal stakeholders throughout the organization.
    • Proven superior planning and project management skills, routinely anticipating and planning for alternative/unlikely scenarios.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication in English, additional Western European languages are a plus.
