Sales Director for German Market Expansion

ZURU Toy Company is seeking a seasoned Sales Director to spearhead the company's growth in the German market. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving commercial strategies to surpass company goals and developing innovative sales plans to maximize brand presence and consumer engagement.
About the Role
As Sales Director, your primary objective will be to disrupt the German market by developing and executing cutting-edge commercial strategies that drive financial performance, forge strategic partnerships, and champion customer-centricity. You will spearhead the German market with unparalleled execution, ensuring that we capture or over-index our Share of Shelf compared to competitors. This involves collaborating closely with global teams, championing our entrepreneurial culture, and prioritizing people as we redefine industry norms and succeed together.
Your Impact
Your impact will be measured by your ability to develop a comprehensive commercial strategy for the German market, build strategic relationships across the German retail and distributor market, and ensure delivery of market share and profitability growth across all EDGE verticals. Additionally, you will lead the German EDGE team to achieve distribution goals and maximize shelf performance. Your leadership skills will be essential in motivating cross-functional teams to drive over-achievement against customer sales performance, P&L, and supply metrics.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need a proven track record of at least 4-5+ years in senior sales or commercial leadership roles within the consumer goods industry, preferably confectionery. Experience operating in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment is essential. Major German retailer and distributor experience is required, along with strong commercial & business acumen, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capability. Strong communication & influencing skills are necessary to translate messages across various internal and external stakeholders. Finally, you must have strong leadership capability, including the ability to influence and motivate cross-functional teams, while holding stakeholders accountable to deliver on business objectives.
What We Offer
As a valued member of our team, you can expect a competitive salary of €120,000 - €150,000 per year, depending on your level of experience and qualifications. In addition to your base salary, you will be eligible for bonus opportunities based on individual and company performance.
