HSE Manager

About the Role:
- You will develop and implement group-wide standards for chemical safety within the HSE department.
- You will monitor legal requirements and provide recommendations for action in close collaboration with existing working groups across the Freudenberg Group.
- You will advise business groups and locations on chemical safety and the compliant handling of hazardous chemicals in laboratories or production.
- You will conduct audits at the group's locations, both nationally and internationally.
- You will design, plan, and deliver training on chemical safety and related topics.
- You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including authorities, on chemical safety matters.
- If necessary, you will support the HSE department teams with cross-functional tasks.
Requirements:
- You hold a university degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or natural sciences with a chemical focus.
- You have at least five years of professional experience in the required field of work.
- You possess in-depth knowledge of relevant legal and technical regulations in occupational safety, chemical safety, and marketing, including REACH.
- It is desirable to have completed training as an occupational safety specialist (FASI).
- Training as an internal auditor for environmental and occupational health management systems is an asset.
- You have a strong willingness to travel (approximately 30%).
- Your personality is characterized by strong communication skills, conflict resolution skills, entrepreneurial thinking, a sense of responsibility, and an understanding of a corporate environment.
- Excellent knowledge of German and very good knowledge of English are essential.
- Additional training in radiation, laser, and noise protection, as well as hazardous goods, is an advantage.
