HSE Manager

Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and implement comprehensive standards for chemical safety across the organization.
- Monitor and interpret legal obligations, providing actionable insights in collaboration with existing working groups within the Freudenberg Group.
- Offer expert guidance to business units and facilities regarding chemical safety and the compliant management of hazardous substances in both laboratory and production settings.
- Conduct thorough audits at various locations, both domestically and internationally.
- Design, organize, and facilitate training sessions focused on chemical safety and related areas.
- Collaborate closely with both internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, on matters concerning chemical safety.
- Provide support to HSE teams with cross-functional tasks as required.
Required Qualifications:
- A university degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or a related natural science field with a focus on chemistry.
- A minimum of five years of relevant professional experience.
- Extensive knowledge of applicable legal and technical standards in occupational safety, chemical safety, and product marketing (including REACH regulations).
- Preferably, certification as an occupational safety specialist (FASI).
- Training as an internal auditor for environmental and occupational health management systems is a plus.
- Willingness to travel approximately 30% of the time.
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills, along with a proactive mindset, sense of responsibility, and understanding of corporate environments.
- Proficiency in German and a strong command of English are essential.
- Additional qualifications in radiation, laser, and noise protection, as well as hazardous materials handling, are advantageous.
