Dialysis Patient Care Technician

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Dialysis Patient Care Technician to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to individuals undergoing hemodialysis treatment.
Key Responsibilities- Patient Care
- Assist patients with hemodialysis treatment, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the process.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the registered nurse or supervisor.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families on dialysis treatment, medication, and lifestyle changes.
- Treatment Preparation
- Prepare and maintain dialysis equipment, including hemodialysis machines and solution delivery systems.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient treatment data and vital signs.
- Team Collaboration
- Work closely with registered nurses, dietitians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
- Education and Training
- Participate in ongoing education and training programs to enhance skills and knowledge in dialysis patient care.
- Assist in the training and development of new staff members.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
- Valid PCT national certification or state-specific certification required.
- At least five years of patient care experience in a hospital setting or related facility preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
