Senior Defense Logistics Business Development Manager

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Defense Logistics Business Development Manager to join our team at GEODIS EUROPE. This role requires a strong background in Defense Logistics and a proven track record of driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a robust pipeline of prospective customers in the Defense Industry and maintain customer relationships that meet customer needs.
  • Create a Defense Win Plan for Europe in line with our overall strategy and drive action and tactics to win new business short, mid, and long-term.
  • Generate quality sales leads for the global network in the area of Defense.
  • Identify and initiate new opportunities to meet customer/prospect needs as well as identify cross-selling opportunities.
  • Guide national Business Development Managers working on Defense opportunities while building a strong and collaborative community in Europe.
  • Steer major opportunities into our tender process while ensuring the correct hand-over of customer information.
  • Develop value proposals in cooperation with our Operations and Business Solutions Department.
  • Drive product development regarding the Defense Industry.

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of experience in Business Development in the sector of Defense Logistics.
  • Strong functional leadership skills in an intercultural context.
  • Experience in working in matrix organizations.
  • A well-equipped Sales and Business Development toolbox: a strong business acumen, convincing attitude, outstanding negotiation skills, and a proactive approach to the market.
  • A passion for driving results and an agile way of thinking.
  • Fluent in English, fluency in German is preferred.
  • Willing to travel.
