Strategic Defense Industry Account Manager

As a Regional Key Account Manager - Defense Sector, you will be responsible for developing a strong pipeline of prospective customers in the Defense Industry and maintaining customer relationships that correspond with customer needs.
Key responsibilities- Developing a strong pipeline of prospective customers in the Defense Industry and maintaining customer relationships that correspond with customer needs.
- Creating a Defense Win Plan for Europe in line with our overall strategy and driving action and tactics plan to win new business short, mid and long-term.
- Generating quality sales leads for the global network in the area of Defense.
- Identifying and initiating new opportunities to meet customer/prospect needs as well as identifying cross-selling opportunities.
- Guiding national Business Development Managers working on Defense opportunities while building a strong and collaborative community in Europe.
- Steering major opportunities into our tender process while ensuring the correct hand-over of customer information.
- Developing value proposals in cooperation with our Operations and Business Solutions Department.
- Driving product development regarding the Defense Industry.
- 5 -7 years of experience in Business Development in the sector of Defense Logistics.
- Strong functional leadership skills in an intercultural context.
- Experience in working in matrix organizations.
- A well-equipped Sales and Business Development toolbox: you have a strong business acumen, convincing attitude, outstanding negotiation skills and a proactive approach to the market.
- A passion for driving results and an agile way of thinking.
- Fluent in English, fluency in German is preferred.
- Willing to travel.
