Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Defense Industry Account Manager to join our team at GEODIS. This role will be responsible for developing a strong pipeline of prospective customers in the Defense Industry and maintaining customer relationships that correspond with customer needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a strong pipeline of prospective customers in the Defense Industry
  • Maintain customer relationships that correspond with customer needs
  • Create a Defense Win Plan for Europe in line with our overall strategy
  • Drive action and tactics plan to win new business short, mid, and long-term
  • Generate quality sales leads for the global network in the area of Defense
  • Identify and initiate new opportunities to meet customer/prospect needs
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities
  • Guide national Business Development Managers working on Defense opportunities
  • Steer major opportunities into our tender process
  • Ensure the correct hand-over of customer information
  • Develop value proposals in cooperation with our Operations and Business Solutions Department
  • Drive product development regarding the Defense Industry
Requirements
  • 5-7 years of experience in Business Development in the sector of Defense Logistics
  • Strong functional leadership skills in an intercultural context
  • Experience in working in matrix organizations
  • A well-equipped Sales and Business Development toolbox
  • A passion for driving results and an agile way of thinking
  • Fluent in English, fluency in German is preferred
  • Willing to travel
