Position Overview

The EMEA Pharma Sales Manager will report directly to the Senior EMEA Sales Director. This role is pivotal in acquiring new clients, prospecting, and nurturing existing relationships with Key Accounts within the pharmaceutical sector, aligning with the strategic objectives of the company. The successful candidate will leverage their business acumen and relationship-building skills to foster strong connections with customers, prospects, and industry stakeholders. The EMEA Pharma Sales Manager is tasked with upholding the reputation of W. R. Grace & Co. as the preferred supplier in the pharmaceutical industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Achieve set targets for profitable sales volume, gross margin, and strategic goals within designated accounts.
  • Manage and enhance strategic relationships with Pharma Key Accounts, including establishing new commercial ties within the pharmaceutical sector and cultivating relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Proactively build and manage the Pharma Sales pipeline through effective commercial execution.
  • Negotiate and support Supply Agreements, sustainability initiatives, and audit requests for pharmaceutical clients, collaborating with the Legal, Sustainability, and Quality departments.
  • Drive profitability through an optimal mix of product, pricing, and volume, including adjusting product pricing as necessary while preparing and presenting proposals that clearly communicate customer value propositions.
  • Lead a strategic account planning process that establishes performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones for each target account.
  • Update weekly forecasts, manage opportunities, and maintain key account data, while also leading Pre-Call Plans and generating Call Reports from significant customer interactions.
  • Coordinate with internal resources to ensure that all logistical, financial, marketing, and legal requirements for sales in each territory are met to satisfy customer needs.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Organic Chemistry or Pharmacology.
  • Over 5 years of successful B2B sales experience.
  • Strong networking and relationship-building capabilities, both internally and externally.
  • Results-driven with the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
  • Proven track record of establishing and maintaining long-term customer relationships.
  • Ability to comprehend and sell a technical product portfolio effectively.
  • Excellent listening skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • A dynamic leader with high energy and motivation.
  • Commitment to personal development and continuous learning.
  • Proficient in utilizing defined IT tools for effective information sharing, reporting, and compliance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in sales or sourcing within Pharma or Life Sciences sectors.
  • Background in Key Account Management sales.
