About the Role

Rethink Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Business Development and Marketing Manager to join our team. As a key member of our global law firm client's Frankfurt office, you will play a crucial role in supporting their business development and marketing efforts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Targeting and Go-to-Market Strategies: Identify and facilitate client targeting, including go-to-market strategies around agreed opportunities.
  • Pitch Development and Marketing Materials: Lead the production of dynamic and client-facing pitches, RFP's and other marketing material as required, building on the best of the firm's capabilities and experience.
  • Market Research and Analysis: Conduct strategic research on potential clients, competitors, and practice developments.
  • Business Trend Identification: Identify business trends and opportunities.
  • Directory Submissions and League Rankings: Manage and lead directory submissions and league rankings.
  • Experience Management: Oversee the upkeep, compilation, and correct categorization of experience for Frankfurt.
  • Event Planning and Execution: Work in collaboration with the events team to build successful events, including targeted client lists, event materials, participant tracking, on-site management, and targeted follow-up activities.
  • Conference and Networking Opportunities: Identify and recommend conferences, speaking opportunities, and networking opportunities that strengthen the firm's market recognition.
  • Internal Meeting Coordination: Build effective agendas for internal meetings and participate in knowledge sharing and best practice to best highlight the work and initiatives of the Frankfurt office.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with marketing personnel across the firm to drive industry and practice initiatives on cross-selling and cross-practice initiatives, communications, and pursuits.
  • Transactional BD Requests: Act as a first point of call on transactional BD requests.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree.
  • Business Development and Marketing Experience: Business development/marketing knowledge and skills gained in a law firm, professional services, or consultancy environment.
  • Fast-Paced Environment: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commercially Minded: A creative, commercially minded thinker with strong project management skills.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Ability to quickly grasp concepts, trends, and good command of the subject matter.
  • Flexibility and Proactivity: Flexible, proactive, and self-motivated.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Ability to work successfully both independently and in conjunction with the marketing team and fee-earning stakeholders and business services.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate with credibility and diplomacy where required.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and client service attitude.
  • Integration and Adaptability: Able to integrate well into a geographically dispersed functional team.
  • Technical Skills: Highly developed Microsoft Office skills, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel, and be proficient in contact relationship and experience management databases.
