Position Overview
We are seeking a Sales Development Manager who will play a pivotal role in expanding our client base and enhancing our service offerings. This individual will be responsible for driving growth through strategic sales initiatives, cultivating relationships, and ensuring an exceptional experience for our customers and shippers. The ideal candidate will leverage market insights to pinpoint opportunities, tap into a broad network of industry contacts for intelligence, and capitalize on business development prospects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage and accelerate high-potential shippers to Amazon Freight.
  • Maintain proactive communication with potential clients to understand and address their challenges.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders across the portfolio.
  • Act as the customer advocate to inform product development and enhancements.
  • Lead complex projects aimed at resolving customer pain points and enhancing overall experience by collaborating with internal teams across Europe.
  • Effectively communicate ideas, both verbally and in writing, to diverse audiences, including crafting narratives, business cases, and strategic documentation.
About Our Team
The Amazon Transportation Service (ATS) team is essential to our operational success. As part of ATS, you will join a diverse group that is crucial in maintaining our efficiency. Utilizing various transport methods and advanced sortation technology, our team ensures that Amazon's logistics operate seamlessly. We prioritize safety and value our workforce, leveraging their expertise to deliver packages swiftly and sustainably.

Amazon Freight (AF) is a rapidly growing B2B initiative within ATS in Europe, enabling external businesses to utilize Amazon's transportation technology and network for bulk product transport. This innovative solution addresses the logistics needs of businesses of all sizes and is expanding quickly.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Proven ability to use data and metrics to drive improvements.
  • Experience in business development, partner management, sales, or alliances.
  • Advanced proficiency in written and verbal German.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Relevant background in supply chain, freight industries, or consultancy.
  • Experience communicating with a diverse range of stakeholders, including peers and leadership.
  • Ability to use data or anecdotal evidence to influence business decisions.
  • Proficiency in other EU languages.
