Director of Business Development

Mantell Associates is partnering with a leading Small Molecule CDMO to find a seasoned Director of Business Development to drive commercial growth and strengthen its Commercial team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to expand the company's product and service portfolio, driving revenue growth and market share.
  • Lead the Sales, Business Development, and Marketing teams to achieve business objectives, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, leveraging existing networks and sales tools to build strong relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Work closely with the Marketing team to develop targeted strategies for attracting and retaining clients, increasing brand awareness, and driving revenue.
  • Lead project acquisition, negotiating contracts, generating client proposals, and closing deals to meet business objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop tailored solutions, encouraging internal cooperation and driving business results.
  • Represent the company at key conferences, enhancing visibility and identifying new opportunities.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmaceutics, Life Sciences, or a related field.
  • Proven leadership experience in Sales/Business Development and Key Account Management within a Commercial function.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate customer orientation and expert advice into sales success and long-term customer relationships.
  • Strong networking skills and ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Possess technical knowledge and subject matter expertise.
  • Proven track record of successfully establishing strategic partnerships.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously.
  • Comfortable utilizing technology as a key part of the sales process.
