Division Overview

Our Global Transaction Banking (GTB) division encompasses various business activities, including cash management, correspondent banking, international trade finance, factoring, and associated currency services. These services are tailored for financial institutions and corporations, ranging from multinational entities to medium-sized enterprises engaged in international operations.

Position Overview

We are currently seeking a

Business Manager for Global Transaction Banking

As a key member of the GTB Germany Leadership Team, the Business Manager will oversee project coordination, risk monitoring, and the execution of necessary controls while keeping the leadership team informed about ongoing matters, including incidents and their resolutions.

  • Analyze strategic and organizational issues to support effective decision-making and execution.
  • Provide strategic guidance to the GTB Germany Leadership Team to enhance daily business management.
  • Recommend solutions and procedures for problem resolution, collaborating closely with headquarters.
  • Ensure alignment with the GTB Germany Leadership Team and act as a liaison for team priorities in daily operations.
  • Facilitate seamless cross-functional collaboration.
  • Direct all administrative, financial, and operational activities on behalf of the GTB Leadership Team.
  • Serve as a point of contact among various GTB Teams, other business units, and headquarters.
  • Coordinate and oversee all regulatory and risk reporting as necessary.
  • Regularly provide reports to the GTB Leadership Team, including performance dashboards.
  • Ensure compliance with Société Générale's rules and policies.
  • Uphold governance standards for New Business Committees.
  • Take on leadership, project management, and accountability for key initiatives as directed by the GTB Germany Leadership Team.

Qualifications & Skills

  • University degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Understanding of German and international Global Transaction Banking products and processes.
  • Experience in a similar role or department.
  • Client-focused approach, both internally and externally.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Fluency in German and English (both written and spoken); knowledge of French is advantageous.
  • High level of commitment and accountability.
  • Structured and results-driven work style.
