Overview

Role Summary

The Transaction Banking Hub (TBH) is dedicated to delivering exceptional products and services across several European markets through a cohesive infrastructure. The (Associate) Director of Transaction Banking Product is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, innovation, and regulatory adherence of all Transaction Banking products and services, including Cash and Liquidity Management and Trade Finance.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial Duties:

  • Support the TBH Germany team in identifying sales opportunities by advising clients on complex, customized products and services (specifically in Trade & Guarantees).
  • Gather and analyze data related to strategic initiatives, market trends, and financial performance of TBH offerings.
  • Focus primarily on clients associated with local Corporate client units in Germany.

Product Management:

  • Oversee the processing and upkeep of products and services, ensuring alignment with client interests, regulatory requirements, and ABN AMRO's strategic objectives in Germany.
  • Lead the development of new Transaction Banking products and associated processes within the department, conducting feasibility studies and recommending enhancements for operational and administrative efficiency.
  • Coordinate interactions with internal and external product and service providers, serving as the primary contact for solution implementation and ongoing support.

Strategic Focus:

  • Navigate the evolving landscape of Transaction Banking, translating technological and regulatory changes into innovative products and solutions that meet the needs of our Corporate Banking clients.
  • Address the complexities of achieving commercial effectiveness while adapting to changing market conditions, including regulatory shifts and heightened competition.
  • Emphasize effective communication, ensuring that client needs are met while maintaining a robust risk profile for products and services.
Candidate Profile
  • Strong academic background, ideally with a degree in Business or Finance.
  • Exceptional communication skills, particularly with senior stakeholders in both English and German.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of banking products and services, with a specific emphasis on the Transaction Banking sector.
  • Proven success in client-facing roles, with a focus on relationship building.
  • International experience and perspective.
