Our team in Germany, consisting of over 700 professionals, delivers financial services to corporate, private, and institutional clients from various locations.

The Transaction Banking Hub (TBH) is dedicated to providing exceptional products and services across several European markets through a cohesive infrastructure. The (Associate) Director of Transaction Banking Product plays a pivotal role in ensuring the upkeep, innovation, and regulatory adherence of all Transaction Banking offerings, including Cash and Liquidity Management and Trade Finance, tailored to meet the needs of our esteemed clients.

Your Responsibilities

Commercial Focus:

  • Enhance TBH Germany's sales initiatives by advising clients on complex, customized products and services (specifically in Trade & Guarantees).
  • Gather and analyze data related to strategy, market trends, and financial performance of TBH offerings.
  • Concentrate on clients associated with local Corporate client units in Germany.

Product Management:

  • Oversee the processing and maintenance of products and services, aligning client interests with regulatory requirements and ABN AMRO's strategic objectives in Germany.
  • Lead the development of new Transaction Banking products and support processes within the department, conducting feasibility studies and recommending operational enhancements.
  • Coordinate interactions with internal and external product and service providers, serving as the primary contact for solution implementation and ongoing support.

Strategic Insight:

  • Transaction Banking is evolving rapidly due to technological advancements and regulatory changes. At ABN AMRO, we adapt these shifts into innovative products and solutions that cater to our Corporate Banking clients.
  • The complexity of this role involves achieving commercial effectiveness while considering fluctuating market conditions, including central bank regulations and local compliance.
  • Effective communication is essential, including the ability to decline offerings that do not align with the client's risk profile while ensuring fair treatment of customers. Transaction Banking operates within a global context, making collaboration and stakeholder management critical.
Your Qualifications
  • A strong academic background, with a degree in Business or Finance.
  • Exceptional communication skills with senior stakeholders in both English and German.
  • In-depth knowledge of banking products and services, particularly within the Transaction Banking sector.
  • A proven track record in client-facing roles, emphasizing relationship building.
  • An international perspective or experience.
  • Relevant certifications.
