About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Director Field Application Engineering to join our team at Infineon Technologies. As a leader in the field of power electronics, we are committed to innovation and customer value.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Manage and enable a team of Field Application Engineers to drive business growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Organization Development: Continuously adapt the Field Application Engineering organization to align with market development and Infineon's strategic targets.
  • Design Win Targets: Reach and exceed Design Win targets and other Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to enable further growth and expansion.
  • Joint Innovation: Drive joint innovation with leading customers to ensure Infineon's competitiveness in the future.
  • Business Growth: Help Field Application Engineers to maximize future business by having a holistic view on the application, focusing on the complete Infineon portfolio.
  • Stakeholder Alignment: Find the right tone by persistently helping Field Application Engineers on stakeholder alignment along their projects.
  • Resource Allocation: Manage Field Application Engineer resource allocation depending on expected return on investment (entrepreneurial mindset).
  • Expectations and Responsibilities: Align expectations and responsibilities towards the Field Application Engineering organization with other stakeholders inside and outside Infineon.
  • Continuous Learning: Foster continuous learning for Field Application Engineers with the target to become trusted advisors towards customers, as well as supporting Field Application Engineers on proceeding on the Technical Ladder career path.
Requirements
  • Education: University degree in Electrical Engineering or comparable.
  • Experience: At least 8 years of professional experience within the semiconductor or power electronics market.
  • Leadership Experience: Experience as a team leader, ability to identify and attract talents.
  • Trend Identification: Capability to identify early trends in applications and competitive threats.
  • Value Proposition: Analytical skills for identification and assessment of unique value propositions, selling points, and product competitiveness in order to prioritize Go-to-Market activities.
  • Stakeholder Alignment: Ability to drive alignment with key stakeholders and to manage multiple, multilevel interfaces.
  • Strategic Thinking: Strategic thinking, business sense, entrepreneurial view, as well as good understanding of process management, digitalization, and change management.
  • CRM Experience: Experience with state-of-the-art CRM systems like Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics 365.
  • Project Management: Project management skills based on proactive follow-up (Who / What / When).
  • Communication Skills: Excellent English communication and presentation skills, German as a plus.
