Head of Field Application Engineering

In this pivotal role, you will:

  • Oversee and empower a team of Field Application Engineers (FAEs)
  • Continuously adapt the FAE organization to align with market evolution and Infineon's strategic objectives
  • Achieve Design Win goals and other key performance indicators to foster growth
  • Drive collaborative innovation with top-tier clients to maintain Infineon's competitive edge
  • Assist FAEs in maximizing future business by adopting a comprehensive perspective on applications, focusing on the complete Infineon product range
  • Establish effective communication by persistently supporting FAEs in stakeholder alignment throughout their projects
  • Manage FAE resource distribution based on anticipated return on investment (entrepreneurial mindset)
  • Align expectations and responsibilities of the FAE organization with various stakeholders within and outside Infineon
  • Encourage ongoing learning for FAEs to become trusted advisors to customers, while also supporting their progression on the Technical Ladder career path

To excel in this position, you should possess:
  • A university degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • At least 8 years of professional experience in the semiconductor or power electronics industry
  • Proven experience as a team leader with the ability to identify and attract talent
  • Capability to recognize emerging trends in applications and competitive challenges
  • Strong analytical skills for identifying and evaluating unique value propositions, selling points, and product competitiveness to prioritize Go-to-Market strategies
  • Ability to drive alignment with key stakeholders and manage multiple, multilevel interactions
  • Strategic thinking, business acumen, and an entrepreneurial perspective, along with a solid understanding of process management, digitalization, and change management
  • Experience with advanced CRM systems such as Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics 365
  • Project management skills with a focus on proactive follow-up (Who / What / When)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English, with German as an additional asset
