- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to perform financial valuation, structuring deals, and negotiating terms with target companies, aiming for optimal outcomes aligned with company objectives.
- Manage due diligence efforts with internal teams, assessing the operational, financial, and technological aspects of potential acquisitions to ensure alignment with strategic objectives and mitigate risks.
- Participate in the end-to-end acquisition process, working closely with M&A, legal, finance, and operational teams to facilitate smooth and timely execution of agreements and integrations.
- Cultivate strong relationships with external stakeholders, including target company executives, advisors, and industry partners.
- Proven experience and track record in business development and M&A/growth projects within the digital sector, preferably within publishing, media, or ecommerce.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and deal structuring.
- Deep understanding of digital business models, emerging technologies, and market trends impacting the publishing industry.
- Exceptional analytical, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting tight deadlines.
- Strong networker with deep knowledge of publishing and commerce markets in the UK and Germany.
- Ability to work and establish relationships across multiple countries.
- Confidence, enthusiasm, and a can-do attitude balanced by humility.
- Business proficient English language skills (verbally and written).
