PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
The primary responsibility of this role is to enhance Fresenius Medical Care's reputation as a trusted clinical authority through various clinical engagement initiatives. This position provides valuable clinical insights that help the organization address evolving customer needs, along with delivering clinical and product education. The Clinical Specialist serves as a resource for clinical staff regarding the appropriate use of assigned equipment and products.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Deliver clinical insights that enhance the organization's ability to meet emerging customer requirements.
- Provide current information on assigned products to staff.
- Conduct formal educational programs covering topics such as concepts, complications, troubleshooting of products and equipment, machine functionality, best clinical practices, and optimization of clinical outcomes.
- Act as a liaison between Clinical Support and Product Marketing, offering feedback and suggestions for product improvements and future enhancements.
- Collaborate with Field Sales to develop new business opportunities by showcasing product features to evaluation accounts.
- Identify clinical needs within the assigned territory and communicate them to relevant management.
- Stay updated on accepted clinical practices and maintain knowledge through professional training.
- Provide after-hours support to clinical staff and address clinical inquiries in accordance with company guidelines.
- Offer clinical support during on-call periods as needed.
- Address moderate scope problems where analysis requires consideration of various factors, exercising judgment within established procedures.
- Foster productive working relationships.
- Adhere to the Code of Business Conduct and all applicable company policies, as well as local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
- Assist with various projects as assigned by the direct supervisor.
- May be responsible for training new Clinical Support staff as necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Strong written and oral communication skills are necessary, particularly in presentations and public speaking.
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines are required.
- Professionalism, discretion, and independent judgment are crucial in all interactions, both internal and external.
- A professional appearance is expected when interacting with customers.
- The ability to teach complex concepts in a clear and concise manner to healthcare professionals at all levels is essential.
